Peanut is A.R.F.'s first bird rescue!  He was in a school yard soon to be likely killed by some cruel students when an A.R.F. volunteer intervened.  Peanut flew up on a teacher's shoulder and she decided to adopt him after no one claimed Peanut as he was posted as "found" for the proper time period.  We are happy that he'll be spoiled in a nice home and not roughing it outdoors like other exotic Monk/Quaker parakeets around our county.
