Update:  We are happy that we could give Izzy's wonderful owner a piece of mind by pulling her into our rescue.  After time together, she realized Izzy was the perfect fit in her home with a senior dog who adores her and multiple cats.  We wish them all the best!

Izzy is an adorable young girl with a beautiful coat, cute white toes, and loving eyes.  She has been waiting for her home for too long at our county shelter.  Please consider adding her to your family.  Izzy is not in our care, but she's a shelter favorite.  Izzy needs to be adopted ASAP!  Izzy is spayed, micro-chipped, hearworm negative, and current on her vaccines.  She's also a "name your price" special adoption fee!  Her animal ID# is A1866661.  You can call ahead to see whether she's still available:  (561) 233-1200.  The shelter is located at 7100 Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach, about a quarter mile west of Jog Road on the south side.  Izzy is not too big in size and has so much love to give!  Please do not call or e-mail A.R.F. regarding Izzy.  This is a courtesy posting for her in the hopes that she gets liberated from the shelter real soon!  See below for more info.!

One of Izzy's biggest fans who has been working with her describes her this way:
"Izzy is a very sweet and cuddly little love bug pocket pittie.  Although she is young, she is very behaved and does not really have puppy-like energy.  She walks very well on a leash, appears to be housetrained, and knows basic commands such as "sit" and "down."  She is treat-motivated and very smart and eager to please. She does very well with other dogs and has been kenneled with another dog for most of her time at the shelter.  She does not exhibit barrier or leash reactivity with other dogs and she is happy to meet new people.  While she has been introduced into playgroup, she does get a little overwhelmed when more than three dogs are in the yard and does not seem to enjoy “pack play” therefore she would likely do best with an adopter that did not want to frequent dog parks.  If you have any questions regarding izzy, please contact ashlee at 561.703.5710."
