Honey is a beagle mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter, when we found her she was pregnant and ready to burst, but because the shelter we got her from has a policy that they will not release any animals unless they are spayed or neutered, they gave her a c-section took her babies, fixed her and euthanized her babies. When we got her home she was moping and depressed and something wasn't quite right. So a few days later we went down to the same shelter and got her some mastiff puppies. At first she didn't know what to do with them. As soon as they started crying she knew exactly what to do. She started nursing them and cleaning them and being a good mommy and now she is a completely changed dog. Her tail wags and she is so proud to show you her babies. UPDATE: Honeys babies are ready to be adopted out. She is also looking for her forever home. Right now she is heartworm positive and needs treatment so she will need a quiet place to stay for a while.
