Amelia is a true survivor. We found out she was the only kitten of her litter to survive. A young woman took her indoors, and later left her with a friend. Amelia snuck outside one day, and got pregnant, and then had three kittens (Beatrice, Nutmeg, and Ash) all born and raised indoors. The young man who took her in thinking she was a male tried his best for weeks to rehome them all as he already had two cats. He thought they were going to be put up for adoption, but to his dismay, several days after taking him to a shelter, they were back at his property outside and with notched ears. He knew they did not belong outside, and tried to get the shelter to take them in. He was given an A.R.F. volunteer's number who felt for his situation as well as the felines in need, and the rest is history! For Amelia, she was adopted the day she was surrended as a lovely woman had been looking for a Siamese, and knew Amelia would not be up for adoption for very long. We wish them all the best!
