Meet Charlie:


I came to ARF about 4 months ago and was adopted right away from a nice
family who were looking for a dog just like me. I used to be very afraid of
people I would meet on the elevators or street and now I let them pet me and
I find they are fun to sniff. I was a bit skinny at first and my coat was
very rough and wiry, but after a good diet, healthy snacks and lots of
brushing I am quite soft. I like to dance and sit up like monkey and I can
do this for long periods of time. I'm actually quite the character.


I have spent the past several months hanging out in City Place, running with
the pack at the local dog parks (I must add here I'm the fastest, unless
Dexter the greyhound is around), going to work with Dad (cause I don't like
being left alone) and developing into a very trusting dog.



I love being with them and when they are home I'm at my happiest and love to
just lay next to them and watch TV. I only need my run in the park to tire
me out and then I'm content to just hang out.


My new owners should not live in a condo. My ideal home would have a yard,
another dog or someone who is home more then gone. I never “GO” in the house
and I'm generally quite good. I think with time and patience I would
overcome the need to cry when my humans leave but until I fully trust them
to not abandon me I will cry when you leave, not always but sometimes. I
have tons of love to give and need a home that can afford me the time to
learn that I am indeed here to stay. I would do well with some obedience
training, I have learned to sit, drop it, wait for them to open the car door
and leash me before jumping out and I almost have the “come” part down.


I love toys and already have a bunch to bring with me and my current foster
parents have tons of information about me if you should need to know more.


I am a great pet that needs a loving and kind home.  I like to swim!
